Get the Everything Doc: https://782media.co.uk/the-everything... Lost track of an enquiry? This is the exact lead tracking process any service business can use so no enquiry, quote or proposal ever falls through the cracks, starting with a simple spreadsheet & building up to an automated Customer Journey. Every business has made this mistake. A quote never gets sent. A proposal never gets chased. Or worst of all, someone replies "yes, we'd like to go ahead", you miss the email & by the time you reply they have gone with someone else. In this video I show you the Customer Journey process we build for service businesses, so every enquiry is tracked from brand new lead to signed customer & nothing is forgotten. Give every enquiry a stage in a customer journey and track it from first contact to signed customer. Start with a spreadsheet with one column per stage and one row per person, with a note on each. Once that works, move to a CRM that does the chasing for you. What stages should a lead pipeline have? For most service businesses: brand new lead (name, email and phone only), warm lead (they have shown intent or filled in a detailed form), discovery call or site visit, decision (yes, no or needs more time), proposal or quote sent, proposal signed with terms and conditions, then aftercare. Stale leads that go quiet need a stage of their own. Do I need a CRM to track enquiries? No. A spreadsheet is enough to start. A CRM becomes worth it when you are at the mercy of your memory and your time, because it can create tasks, send emails, book meetings, follow up on quotes and notify you when something is signed. What can be automated in a customer journey? An instant thank-you email and a call task for new leads, a booking page after a qualifying form, calendar invites with reminders, pre-meeting content such as testimonials or a video sales letter, follow-up reminders after 7 or 30 days, quotes sent from a phone or tablet, automatic follow-ups on unsigned quotes, and a notification when a quote is signed. Who is this for? Owners of service businesses: agencies, consultancies, trades, professional services and any small business that quotes for work and wants to win more of the enquiries it already gets.
