Upgrading to Kelford 208-B performance cams in the Toyota 3UZ-FE V8 — and the step most guides skip entirely: correctly removing the OEM scissor gear sprockets and transferring them to the new camshafts without damaging the spring-loaded assembly. The Kelford 208-B runs 264/258 degrees of advertised duration with 9.60mm/9.50mm lift — a fast road profile designed to work with the stock head casting and suit upgraded intake and exhaust. On a tuneable ECU, these cams are a clean performance step that doesn't sacrifice streetability. But before any of that matters, the scissor gear has to go on correctly.
