(Instrumental) Piano & Violin Cover 🎵 Great Is Thy Faithfulness FR: Grande est ta fidélité ES: Grande es tu fidelidad PT: Grande é a tua fidelidade JP: 主の真実は偉大なり PL: Wielka jest wierność Twoja 🎼 Lyrics by Thomas O. Chisholm 🎼 Music by William M. Runyan Tune: FAITHFULNESS Great Is Thy Faithfulness is one of the most beloved Christian hymns of the twentieth century, a timeless expression of trust in God's unfailing mercy and faithfulness. The words were written by American hymn writer Thomas O. Chisholm (1866–1960) and were deeply inspired by Lamentations 3:22–23 — one of Scripture's most beautiful declarations of hope. What makes these verses especially powerful is their setting. The Book of Lamentations speaks from a place of profound sorrow and devastation. Yet in the midst of darkness comes an extraordinary confession of faith: the Lord's mercy is never exhausted, His compassion is renewed every morning, and His faithfulness remains steadfast. This biblical promise became the spiritual heart of the hymn. In 1923, Chisholm sent his text to William M. Runyan (1870–1957), who composed a melody especially for these words. The resulting tune, known as FAITHFULNESS, carries the text with noble simplicity and quiet assurance. Its broad melodic phrases gradually rise toward the great declaration at the heart of the refrain: “Great is Thy faithfulness.” Over the generations, the hymn has become a treasured expression of Christian trust, sung in churches and Christian communities throughout the world. 🙏 About This Instrumental Arrangement In this piano and violin arrangement by SusanCecil Ensemble, the familiar hymn is presented with simplicity and reverence. The piano provides a calm and steady foundation, while the violin carries the melody with warmth and lyrical expression. Rather than seeking dramatic emotion, this arrangement reflects the quiet confidence at the heart of the hymn — the assurance that through every season of life, God's mercy remains and His faithfulness never changes. Each new morning becomes a reminder: His compassion is renewed. His grace is still present. His faithfulness remains. 📖 Scripture Reflections “The LORD's acts of mercy are not exhausted, his compassion is not spent; They are renewed each morning— great is your faithfulness!” — Lamentations 3:22–23 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8 “Every good giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights.” — James 1:17 ✝️ Catholic Reflection The message of Lamentations is especially profound because this declaration of faith does not arise from comfort or prosperity, but from the midst of suffering. Christian hope does not mean that life will be free from uncertainty, loss, or sorrow. It means trusting that even in darkness, God's mercy has not disappeared. Morning after morning, His compassion is renewed. Our circumstances may change. Our strength may fail. The road before us may remain uncertain. Yet God remains faithful. For Christians, this trust finds its fullness in Christ, who remains the same yesterday, today, and forever. May this instrumental hymn become a quiet prayer of confidence and thanksgiving, reminding us that every new morning is another gift of grace and another invitation to place our lives in the hands of the One whose mercy never ends. ✨ Performed by SusanCecil Ensemble 🎻 Violin / Viola: Susan Cha 🎹 Piano: Cecil Han 📍 Recorded in London, Canada 🙏 May this music accompany your prayer and quiet reflection, and may every new morning remind you: His mercies are renewed each morning.
