Montreal EXPOS at New York METS 6/25/91 Original WWOR Broadcast

Recorded and Digitalized off some pre recorded VHS tapes and have been converted to DVD through a DVD burner (2002) and now have been restored and the game is making its debut on my Phenia Films MLB archival page. Original WWOR-TV 9 broadcast with Ralph Kiner and Tim McCarver from Shea Stadium. One of the longest nine inning game by both teams for the 1991 season and new Expos Manager Tom Runnells takes over for Buck Rodgers who was fired in early June a nail biter as Cy Young award winners get the starting pitchers assignment.. Dennis Martinez for the Expos and Doc Gooden for the Mets. Dennis Martinez having a great year has a rough start allowing four runs in the bottom of the first inning including Dave Magadan 3rd HR of the season. Pretty much smooth sailing for Dwight Golden until the top of the fifth as Montreal takes the lead scoring five runs on six hits and a wild pitch from Gooden allowing Delino DeShields to score from third. Followed by a hard hit RBI Double from Ivan Calderon to pull the Expos in front a one run lead going into the bam of the 5th. No scoring until the ninth as Montreal relievers Barry Jones loads up the bases (Scott Ruskin replaces Jones) then Kevin McReynolds hits a walk off Grand Slam to win it for the Mets in dramatic fashion as Alejandro Pena gets the win (4-0) after reliving Gooden in the 9th and Barry Jones suffers the loss (3-5) MLB debut for 3B umpire Larry Vanover Boxscore https://www.retrosheet.org/boxesetc/1...
