After more than a year of negotiations, Charles County Public Library employees have ratified their first collective bargaining agreement, and the Board has approved it. So, the conflict is over. Right? Not necessarily. In this Conflict Whisperer: What Happened Next? follow-up, I return to the story I examined in my very first episode, but this time the question is different: What happens after an organization resolves the dispute, but still has relationships and trust to repair? A contract can establish wages, protections, expectations, and working conditions. But no agreement, policy, or settlement can automatically erase what people experienced while the conflict was happening. For leaders, boards, and organizational teams, that distinction matters. Resolution is an outcome. Repair is a process. In this episode, I explore what post-conflict leadership requires and why reaching an agreement may actually mark the beginning of some of the most important work. I’m Tisha Tyler, conflict management and strategic communication consultant and founder of Kelton & Key. The Conflict Whisperer looks beneath the conflict we can see to understand what is really happening, what is at stake, and what it takes to move forward. Because the conflict you see is not always the conflict you need to solve. #TheConflictWhisperer #ConflictManagement #Leadership #OrganizationalConflict #WorkplaceConflict #StrategicCommunication #EmployeeRelations #LeadershipDevelopment #OrganizationalTrust #KeltonAndKey
