After 10 years working in emergency medicine, I’ve seen both versions of ageing. I’ve seen people in their 60s who look decades older because strength and resilience have faded. And I’ve seen people in their 80s who move with speed, confidence, and independence because they stayed active and protected the systems that matter. The difference is often far more modifiable than people realise.
