*Is This the Most Remote Campground in Montana? | Feral Trails* I was looking for a quiet place to spend the night in Montana. Racetrack Campground sounded like just the ticket. Getting there? Well, that was another matter entirely. After miles of washboard roads, questionable GPS directions, and an attempted detour onto private property, I FINALLY found the sign for Racetrack Campground. Five more miles. FIVE. MORE. MILES. Apparently, the adventure was just getting started. Come along as Bill (my trusty F-150), Hastings (my slide-in camper), and I venture into the Montana wilderness in search of a campsite that seems determined not to be found. The scenery was beautiful, the road was an adventure, and once I finally got settled, I hadn't seen another soul. Was it worth the drive? You be the judge.
