The 2018 Lonach Highlanders outward march through beautiful Strathdon in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The parade sets off from the village of Bellabeg and marches through Strathdon, stopping at several houses for hospitality. The march is led by retired Police Officer James Mitchell on his bicycle, the Lonach Pipe Band with Drum Majors from other bands and at the rear is Socks, the Lonach horse, ready to pick up any stragglers. The Lonach Highlanders are all descendants from the Forbes, Wallace and Gordon clans, represented by the different tartans, who march with their weapons, including pikes and Lochaber axes.
