Saturday, October 10, 2026. A 76-minute walk through Salem, Massachusetts, on one of the most crowded days of Haunted Happenings. It starts in front of the Ropes Mansion and heads down Essex Street, where the lines are already wrapped around the block at the Haunted Warren Museum on Barton Square and there's a long queue just for coffee at Blackcraft. Then the pedestrian mall, Derby Square, the Peabody Essex Museum, the Hawthorne Hotel, and the Salem Witch Museum, which had a "sold out for the day" sign up by mid-afternoon. Salem Common is lined with Halloween Marketplace vendor tents, including the "Entering Salem" sign at 30:07. From there it's down to Derby Street past the Salem Maritime National Historical Park, the West India Goods Store, a line out the door at Mercy Tavern, Ye Olde Pepper Companie and the House of the Seven Gables. Then around Pickering Wharf: the Wicked Wardrobe, Craftwitch, the Ossuary, the waterfront, a long line at Longboards, Coven, Chambers of Terror and Brodie's Seaport. The way back follows Derby Street past the New England Pirate Museum, Bit Bar and All Souls Lounge, then through the Haunted Witch Village by Frankenstein's Castle and the Salem Wax Museum. After that it's the Salem Witch Trials Memorial, the crowds on Front Street, and the newly renovated Halloween carnival Dunkin' on Washington Street. It ends back at the Haunted Warren Museum and the corner of Essex and Washington. No narration. Just Salem at street level on a packed October Saturday.
