Preparing for a product-based company interview while working a full-time job can feel overwhelming. There are so many things to study — DSA, system design, LLD, and behavioral questions. It’s easy to get lost without a clear plan.
In this video, I share a simple 60-day roadmap to help you prepare in a structured way, without trying to learn everything at once.
Here’s how I would divide those 60 days:
*Days 1–30: DSA and LeetCode*
Focus on LeetCode 75. Understand the patterns behind the problems instead of just memorizing solutions.
*Days 31–40: Low-Level Design (LLD)*
Work on object-oriented design, SOLID principles, design patterns, and common machine-coding problems.
*Days 41–55: High-Level Design (HLD)*
Learn the fundamentals of system design, including databases, caching, messaging systems, scalability, and distributed systems.
*Days 56–60: Behavioral Interviews*
Prepare stories about your projects, challenges, conflicts, failures, and leadership experiences. Knowing how to communicate your experience is just as important as technical preparation.
This is the approach I would take if I had 60 days to prepare for product-based company interviews while continuing to work.
You don't need to study for 8–10 hours every day. What matters is having a plan, staying consistent, and making the most of the time you have.
What do you find most challenging about interview preparation: DSA, LLD, HLD, or behavioral rounds? Let me know in the comments.
