Well then, after a month, I have somehow found the time to get back at it again! In this video, see the solitary 8MT, 71000 "Duke of Gloucester", in and around Newton Abbot for its return towards the Capital today (as far as Taunton), however, with a little bit of a twist... This run suffered from delay after delay, suffering a 35 min delay off Plymouth, before making a sterling recovery to 29 mins down, before unfortunately suffering a water leak in three places on one part of its pipework, but it would do little to stop the mighty Duke, except cause a partial further delay, with the Duke leaving 47 mins late after spending just shy of 40 minutes in the platform... 40 minutes of deafening me and the others on the platform with the blow off valves! 57302 was the support loco of choice today, however, doing very little in support- just there for the ride, really! Do love a good 57, I do! Very good to see the Standard 8 back down here for the first time since what I am told is 2012... 14 years ago! I hope you enjoy!
