We're back!
After... let me look here... 2 months and 5 days, videos are back. To stay? We'll see about that. I'm hoping to, but the next year is a big one for me as a moment in my life. If I can, you bet I will.
In this video, see the 125 Group enter Devon for the first time, seeing a return for 43025 in 9 years, and also, a return for 43089- this used to be a stomping ground with Network Rail, back when it was called "Hayabusa"! Really good to see the 125G show a bit of love to this region, and welcome home to 43025! The powercar named after the city of Exeter has actually returned!
Also see the Britannic Explorer back again with the same sheds as ever, however, this time, actually having 748 leading! Very rare to see that, but also, very refreshing! 744 tucked behind, but it's good to see the Britannic shed actually command its tour- very good!
Also see the English Riviera Express, without steam again due to the very high dryness of the landscape, and the hot weather. This tour was originally 47810 and 805, however, 805 suffered a fire- we presume brakes- outside Westbury, leading to the loco being dumped there, and 810 taking the tour solo.
We start the day at Tivvy, seeing all 3 tours there, and even including some truckspotting! Looking very forward to Truckfest in about 2 1/2 weeks as of uploading- meant to be very good!
We then move to Paignton, and the site of the recent arson attacks on the station, and the demolishing of the building opposite after it threatened to fall- a real shame that Paignton has fallen like it is- the town could really do with some love. Moving around the station, we see the PDSR's resident manor, 7827 "Lydham Manor", and resident tractor, 37275. We see the Large Prairie (4110) arrive, before coming off the train and making way for 37275 to take over- again, this was moving to diesel in line with fire prevention measures, as the ground is so dry, and the heat is so high- the PDSR have found out the impacts a few times in recent weeks...
Back to Warren we go, then, to see the HST return around Langstone Rock, before moving back towards Teignmouth for the spoon!
Very exciting day, and, again, very nice to see the 125G! I wouldn't mind seeing more of them down here...
I hope you enjoy!
