Surveying to Save the Shorebirds

I partnered with Sageland Collaborative to join one of their Intermountain West Shorebird Surveys along the Great Salt Lake, and it turned into one of the most meaningful days I've had out birding. Our team spent the morning counting shorebirds while collecting data that helps track how the lake's declining water levels are affecting this habitat.
