Rainy Morning in Our African Village ❤️ Mama Jane Prepares a Delicious Family Breakfast

Experience a peaceful rainy morning in our African village as Mama Jane prepares a delicious traditional breakfast of sweet potatoes, boiled eggs and fresh milk for her family. ❤️🏡🌧️ Welcome back to African Family Homestead, where we share real and authentic African village life, traditional cooking, farming, family routines and the simple beauty of living in rural Uganda. 🇺🇬❤️ Today’s beautiful morning begins at 7:12 AM, with gentle rain falling over our peaceful African village. The fresh morning air, cloudy skies, green gardens and soothing sounds of rainfall create a beautiful atmosphere around our family homestead. 🌧️🌿 We begin by showing you how our maize garden has grown. The plants are becoming greener and taller, bringing us happiness and hope for a good harvest. Meanwhile, Mama Jane wakes up and begins her morning routine. She brushes her teeth, washes her face and prepares for another busy day of taking care of her family. Afterward, Mama Jane sweeps the compound, clearing away leaves, small branches and other debris left behind by the rain. Living in our African village means that every morning comes with different responsibilities, but we are always grateful for another beautiful day. ❤️ Once the compound is clean, Mama Jane washes a five-litre jerrycan that she will use to collect fresh milk from our neighbour, Jack. She then begins walking through the village toward Jack’s home. Along the way, Mama Jane passes a beautiful mango tree surrounded by the peaceful greenery of our African countryside. 🌳❤️ After reaching our neighbour’s home, she collects fresh milk and begins her journey back to the homestead. 🥛 When Mama Jane returns, some of the children are sent to the village borehole to fetch water for cooking and other household activities. Meanwhile, Mama Jane remains at home with little Stanley and Moses. Moses helps his mother wash the cooking utensils as they prepare for breakfast. ❤️ Soon afterward, the other children return from the borehole with water. With everything ready, Mama Jane begins peeling fresh sweet potatoes for the family’s morning meal. 🍠 She then splits firewood and prepares the traditional outdoor cooking fire. Using a frying pan over the wood fire, Mama Jane carefully fries the sweet potatoes until they are ready. She prepares a second fire to boil the fresh milk collected from our neighbour. 🥛❤️ Once the sweet potatoes are cooked, Mama Jane also prepares boiled eggs to complete the family’s breakfast. 🥚 After a busy morning of cleaning, collecting milk, fetching water and preparing food, breakfast is finally ready! Mama Jane serves the delicious sweet potatoes, boiled eggs and fresh milk, and the family gathers together to enjoy another homemade African village breakfast. 🍽️❤️ But the beautiful moments don’t end there. Mama Jane also shares some of the freshly prepared breakfast with our neighbour, Annet. Here in our African village, sharing food and helping one another are important parts of our everyday lives. Sometimes, the simplest acts of kindness bring the greatest happiness. ❤️🙏 Life in our African village is simple, but every day is filled with beautiful moments. From peaceful rainy mornings and green maize gardens to children helping their mother and neighbours sharing food, these are the experiences that make our family life special.
