🎾 Serve Goes Into the Net
Causes:
Toss is too low or too far in front/behind you.
Racquet face is closed (angled too far forward).
Not enough upward motion—you’re hitting forward more than upward.
Lack of follow-through—you might be stopping your swing too early.
🎾 Serve Goes Long
Causes:
Racquet face is too open, launching the ball too high.
Toss is too far back or too high, making it hard to control depth.
Overhitting—you’re generating too much power without spin.
Not enough topspin or kick to bring the ball down into the service box.
🎾 Serve Goes Wide (left or right of the box)
Causes:
Inconsistent toss direction—too far to the left or right.
Mis-timing your contact point—hitting too early or too late in the swing.
Poor body alignment—hips and shoulders might be pointing in the wrong direction.
Wrist flicking or trying to steer the ball too much.
Quick Tips to Fix It:
Practice toss consistency—everything starts with a good toss.
Work on racquet face control—know how open or closed it is at contact.
Use spin to control depth and placement.
Film your serve or get a coach to help identify your pattern.
