Vietnam Dustoff medevac pilots flew unarmed Hueys into hot zones. Six things they never told the wounded in the back.
🧭 Dustoff pilots flew the Army's air ambulances in Vietnam, often alone, with a red cross painted on the hull and no gun to fire, and they kept things in the front seat that the men on the litters never heard. I was not there and I never flew one, so I did not trust a single unsourced memory. Every number and name here traces to a record: two Medal of Honor citations, the 2024 Congressional Gold Medal Act, helicopter loss counts, and the pilots' own published accounts. Where no pilot ever put a thing into words, the video says so.

⚠️ The opening scene is a composite built from many accounts, not one crew, and it is labeled that way in the video. I am not an accredited claims representative and none of this is benefits advice. If you served in the Republic of Vietnam, a free accredited veterans service organization can check your record, and the VA lists who is accredited on its own website. Glenn Graves is a fictional character. No real person is depicted.
