Da Lat feels like a completely different side of Vietnam — cooler temperatures, pine forests, coffee, flowers and some seriously quirky attractions.
We explore the Clay Tunnels, ride the Datanla Alpine Coaster, wander through the surreal Crazy House and take a motorbike ride through the countryside. Along the way, we try local favourites like chicken hot pot, avocado ice cream and bánh nướng, before ending the day at the famous Maze Bar.
And of course, we’ll show you what everything cost along the way.

We’re Peter and Rahel - a couple in our late 30s and early 40s who decided that waiting for “someday” wasn’t good enough.
We met backpacking in 2019, fell in love, and have been together ever since. After years of dreaming about a location-independent life, Rahel quit her corporate job while Peter keeps working as a freelancer, and we took the leap - with no fixed end date.
Now we’re travelling the world on a mid-budget, discovering local food, culture, nature, hidden gems and unforgettable experiences. We save where it makes sense, but love to splurge occasionally.
We’re not low-budget backpackers or luxury travellers - just two people with a budget, a spreadsheet and a growing list of places to see.
We want to show that you’re never too old to travel, dream bigger and step outside your comfort zone.
Come travel with us. 🌍
Because life is too short to spend it all in one place.
