*Learn how to safely practise and teach the transition from Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward Facing Dog) to Bakasana (Crow Pose) with greater confidence, strength and control.* In this video, I'll guide you through one of the most fun and empowering transitions in Vinyasa Yoga—**jumping from Downward Dog into Crow Pose**. Whether you're refining your own practice or looking to confidently teach this transition to your students, you'll learn how to build the strength, technique and body awareness needed to move with control rather than momentum. While this transition may look advanced, it's not about jumping as high as possible. It's about creating stability, engaging the core, shifting your centre of gravity, and learning to trust your body. By breaking the movement down step by step, you'll develop greater confidence and make the transition feel more accessible. In this video, we'll explore: • How to safely transition from Downward Dog to Crow Pose • Tips for teaching this transition to your students • Building strength through the wrists, shoulders and core • Developing control, balance and body awareness • Common mistakes to avoid when practising and teaching this transition • Listening to your body and honouring your own practice Please remember that every body is different. Only move in a way that feels comfortable and supportive for you. If you have a wrist, shoulder or hand injury, or anything doesn't feel right, gently come out of the practice, modify the movement or simply rest. Yoga is never about forcing your body to achieve a posture or transition—it's about cultivating awareness, patience and compassion as your practice evolves. Whether you're a yoga teacher, Yoga Teacher Trainee, or an experienced practitioner looking to deepen your understanding of arm balances and Vinyasa transitions, I hope this practice supports you in exploring the movement from Downward Dog to Crow Pose with greater confidence, curiosity and care. If this practice was helpful, consider saving this video so you can return to it as you continue developing your arm balances and transitions. And if you know another yoga teacher or practitioner who would benefit from this approach, I'd be so grateful if you shared it with them. New videos are released every week, exploring yoga practice, Yoga Teacher Training, yoga philosophy, yoga business, personal growth and soul-aligned living—all designed to help you deepen your practice, expand your impact, and create a life and business that feel truly aligned.
