Receiving answers to your prayers, part 1. Mark 11:24

Mark 11:24 NKJV "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.". The key to receiving is believing that you have received and then you will have what you have asked for. Finding specific promises in the scriptures is important to have faith, because "... faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" Romans 10:17 NKJV. When we are familiar with the word of God we can ask with confidence that he will give us what we ask for, especially if it is something that we see in scripture that He wants us to have, salvation, the Holy Spirit, or forgiveness of sin, healing and meeting out basic needs. God is able and willing to do far more then we can ask or imagine. "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us" Ephesians 3:20 NKJV. So why not ask.
