🌹 Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Raheem 🌹
Ask her silence... ask these tears... 💔
Khaamoshiyon se hi poocho, in aansuon se hi poocho...
This heart-shattering noha tells the story of a four-year-old princess who cried more than any child should ever cry,Bibi Sakina (sa), the beloved daughter of Imam Hussain (as). From the plains of Karbala to the dark prison of Shaam, her tears never stopped flowing... until the night they stopped forever.
The Meaning Behind This Noha:
The poet pleads with the oppressor: "Do not strike this child, do not make her life more unbearable,Sakina has already cried so much." This refrain, "Bohat ro chuki hai Sakina," returns after every verse like a wound reopening.
The noha traces her sorrows one by one:
She endured cruelty on the roads of captivity and the taunts of orphanhood. She never slept, not during the journey, not in the prison; separated from her father on the day of Ashura, she never found peace again.
When the caravan returned to Karbala, and she found her Baba's body in the desert, she clung to him and wept until Imam Hussain's sister arrived, and the grieving family whispered: "Go, sister, put her to sleep."
Her little body carried the testimony of her suffering, the mark of the rope on her neck, a forehead wounded by stones, the imprint of slaps on her cheeks, and a heart wounded by unbearable grief.
Sometimes she trembled in fear of her father's killer. Sometimes she wept in the loneliness of the prison. Sometimes she asked Bibi Zainab (sa): "Can we go home now? It has been a year and a month..."
Then came a night like Qayamat itself, when death sang little Sakina her final lullaby. Imam Sajjad (as) wept and said: "O aunt... now she will never cry again."
When the prisoners wept at her small grave, the ladies would say: "Hush... she has finally fallen asleep, exhausted, in this prison. Let no one wake her now."
The poets Mazhar and Farhan close with a will for every mourner: "Brother, when you visit the grave of Sakina, recite only this marsiya there; Sakina has already cried so much..."
This is not just poetry; it is the story of innocence crushed by tyranny, and the reason why hearts still break for her after 1400 years.
