Week 2 of A&P School Was Just Math | This Week in AMTT (Ep. 2)

Week 2 of A&P school was basically math class. This week in AMTT, we worked through Chapter 1 General Mathematics in AVOTEK Volume 1: Intro to Aircraft Maintenance. A lot of it was math I'd learned before, but this time we started applying it to actual aviation problems. We covered fractions, decimals, ratios, geometry, conversions, trigonometry, and more. The coolest part for me was learning how to calculate the displacement and compression ratio of an engine cylinder. We also worked through calculations involving wing area, aircraft fuel-tank volume, engine bypass ratio, and torque conversions.
