Learn how to design a differential flange in SolidWorks — Part 2 of my full differential gearbox build, continuing on from the housing in Part 1.

In this video, I walk through the process of modeling the flange:
✅ Revolve the main flange body from a stepped profile
✅ Pattern the bolt holes around the flange's bolt circle
✅ Extrude the central hex boss
✅ Cut the through-bore
✅ Fillet the transitions for a clean, realistic finish
This flange is likely the piece that will eventually mount through the bore we modeled into the housing back in Part 1 — so getting the bore diameter and bolt circle right here isn't just about this one part looking correct, it's about the next part in the series actually fitting.
