A medley of Hills Of Pomeroy, Mountains of Mourn, and Rose of Allandale performed on a Ron Wall Mountain Harp in single E, sweet tuned. This instrument has 30 strings with a few notes doubled. It has 12 chords. It is strung with customs by Tom Fladmark using the same type of string as used on a conventional autoharp but longer and in custom diameters. The bridge on a Mountain Harp is positioned over the sound cavity. The instrument body is a single piece of maple laminate carved out by a CNC router. The top is then applied in solid spruce, Sitka I believe. The bridging near the tuning pins is the same type of bridge pin as used on an Oscar Schmidt Model B design autoharp. The instrument design intends a two-key tuning with no doubled strings, but a number of them were prepared as various single keys. A, E, B, and F# notes of the E scale are doubled on the one played here.
