Cromford Canal to Black Rocks | High Peak Junction Circular Walk

Join me on a circular walk from Cromford Canal to Black Rocks via High Peak Junction in Derbyshire. Starting at Cromford Wharf, we follow the historic canal before continuing through High Peak Junction and climbing towards Black Rocks. High Peak Junction sits where the Cromford Canal meets the High Peak Trail and was once an important hub of transport activity in the Derwent Valley. Today it's a lovely place to explore, with plenty of industrial heritage, wildlife and walking routes. From there we continue towards Black Rocks, a popular walking and climbing area above Cromford. The rocky outcrops provide some fantastic views across the surrounding Derbyshire countryside, with woodland trails to explore around them.
