Elden Ring: Rakshasa, Darklight Catacombs & Jori - Episode 54

Hi everyone, it’s me, FacelessNobody. I invite you to sit next to me and play Elden Ring together - one of my favorite games. I’ve already beaten this game a few times, so I can share some tips with you during our journey. In this episode, we start by finishing the Furnace Golem and the ruins where we stopped last time. After clearing that area, we find our way down below, where we pick up another Scadutree Fragment. Always nice to get a little bit stronger before the DLC finds another way to humiliate us. While exploring, we also discover another mausoleum. Inside, we fight Rakshasa and, after defeating her, get the Rakshasa armor set and her Great Katana. Then we move toward a huge lake, where we somehow find not one, but two hippopotamuses. Luckily for us, both of them drop Scadutree Fragments, which means together with the one we found earlier, we collect three fragments in this episode and finally raise our Scadutree Blessing to +14. After that, we reach Darklight Catacombs. This dungeon is actually a pretty fun one to explore, and inside we find the Death Knight armor set, which improves Dragon Cult skills and incantations, definitely something worth keeping for later. Eventually, we make our way to the bottom and face the boss of the catacombs - Jori, Elder Inquisitor. And man, this guy was a real pain in the ass. We try a few different strategies, but his constant summons make the fight incredibly annoying. Eventually, we return to our reliable Rykard sword. Its skill works perfectly here because we can damage Jori while also clearing his summons at the same time. With that strategy, we finally manage to take him down. After the fight, the path opens into a completely new and very suspicious-looking area - the Abyssal Woods. And that is exactly where we are going to continue our journey in the next episode. #eldenring #shadowoftheerdtree #eldenringdlc #darklightcatacombs #rakshasa #jori #soulslike #facelessnobody
