*Can you lose your salvation after you've been saved? What happens when a Christian sins? Does God forgive every sin when we believe, or must we be saved again when we fail?* These questions have troubled Christians for generations. But Jesus gave Peter a remarkable lesson that helps explain the difference between **salvation and fellowship with God**. In this Bible message from our new series, *Essential Truths of Salvation*, we examine the wonderful promise of spiritual cleansing and the security of the believer in Jesus Christ. Beginning in Isaiah 1:18, we discover God's invitation to sinners: "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow..." *What does it really mean to be washed from our sins?* Through John 13, 1 John 1:9, and 1 Corinthians 6:11, we examine several life-changing biblical truths: *Complete forgiveness:* When a sinner trusts Jesus Christ for salvation, God cleanses them from all their sins. *Eternal security:* A truly born-again believer does not need to be saved over and over again. *Salvation versus fellowship:* Sin can disrupt our fellowship with God without changing our standing as His child. *Peter's failure:* Peter denied Jesus Christ, yet his failure did not mean he had lost his salvation. *Judas and true belief:* Judas followed Jesus as a disciple, but following religious teachings is not the same as trusting Christ for salvation. *Confession and restoration:* Why does 1 John 1:9 instruct Christians to confess their sins if they have already been forgiven? *The cleansing power of Christ:* Why salvation depends upon the finished work of Jesus Christ rather than our own righteousness or religious efforts. 📖 *John 13:10 (KJV)* "Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all." 📖 *1 John 1:9 (KJV)* "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 📖 *Revelation 1:5 (KJV)* "Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood," *Here is the central truth: Salvation establishes our relationship with God. Confession restores our fellowship with Him.* Jesus Christ does not offer temporary salvation. He gives eternal life to those who believe on Him. But there is another question every person must consider: *Have you truly trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior, or are you depending on church attendance, religious works, and outward discipleship?* Don't confuse following Jesus with believing on Jesus for salvation. Watch this important message and examine what the Bible teaches about forgiveness, eternal security, spiritual cleansing, and the assurance of salvation. *Truth and Mercy Meet Here* A ministry of Calvary Baptist Church Subscribe for uncompromising Gospel preaching, sound Bible doctrine, and clear biblical answers to life's most important questions. #EternalSecurity #CanYouLoseYourSalvation #Salvation #OnceSavedAlwaysSaved #JesusChrist #ForgivenessOfSins #BibleTeaching #John13 #Christianity #FaithAlone #AssuranceOfSalvation #Gospel
