What Will You Have Left?

*When your life on earth is over, what will you have left that truly matters?* You may spend your entire life accumulating money, possessions, success, and earthly treasures. But what happens to all those things when you stand before Jesus Christ? *Are you investing your life in things that will last forever—or things that will soon disappear?* In this challenging Bible message from **Matthew 6:19–24**, Brother Dave examines the words of Jesus Christ concerning earthly treasures, heavenly treasures, and the danger of allowing the things of this world to capture our hearts. Jesus warned that earthly treasures can be stolen, destroyed, or lost. But He also revealed that believers can lay up treasures in heaven—treasures that will endure for eternity. 📖 *Matthew 6:21 (KJV)* "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." *In this message, discover:* 1. *Earthly Treasures Are Temporary* — Why wealth, possessions, pleasure, and worldly accomplishments cannot provide lasting satisfaction. 2. *Heavenly Treasures Are Eternal* — How Christians can invest their time, talents, spiritual gifts, and opportunities in things that matter forever. 3. *The Judgment Seat of Christ* — What the Bible teaches about believers standing before Jesus Christ to give an account of their lives and works. 4. *The Danger of a Divided Heart* — Why Jesus warned that no man can serve two masters, and how worldly priorities can gradually steal our devotion to God. 5. *Living With Eternity in View* — How remembering that this life is temporary can transform our decisions, priorities, witnessing, and service to the Lord. 📖 *Matthew 6:19–20 (KJV)* "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:" 📖 *2 Corinthians 5:10 (KJV)* "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." *An important biblical distinction:* Good works do not earn salvation. Salvation is received through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. But the lives and works of believers will be evaluated at the Judgment Seat of Christ. Brother Dave reminds us that Christians are pilgrims traveling through this world on their way to an eternal home. Our time here is short. Our opportunities to serve Christ, share the Gospel, and glorify God will not last forever. *One day, the possessions we accumulated will be left behind. But what we have done for Christ will have eternal significance.* So ask yourself: *Am I living for what I can accumulate on earth, or am I investing in what will last forever?* Watch this thought-provoking Bible message and consider how you can begin living with eternity in view—today. *Truth and Mercy Meet Here* A ministry of Calvary Baptist Church Subscribe for uncompromising Bible preaching, Gospel messages, sound Christian doctrine, and practical teaching from the King James Bible.
