And then comes Diskit Monastery — standing peacefully above the valley, with the magnificent 100-ft Maitreya Buddha statue overlooking the vast Himalayan landscape. Whitewashed monastery walls, golden sunlight, towering mountains, endless valleys and that unmistakable silence of Ladakh… This wasn't just another destination. It was a feeling.
