Guru Purnima 2026: Who is a Guru and Why a Guru is Necessary in Our Spiritual Journey

This is a recording of the special session for Guru Purnima 2026. In this talk, we address who a Guru really is, why the Guru holds an exalted place in the tradition, and why a Guru is indispensable in our spiritual journey. Satyan Chidambaran is a full-time student of Vedanta and Sanskrit. He has been studying Vedanta under his Guru, Śrī Swami Paramarthananda ji, since 2003.
