The Quiet Mile | AI Short Film | Higgsfield Global Film Festival 2026

The Quiet Mile is my latest AI short film, created for the Higgsfield Global Film Festival. The story follows a woman running the same route she once shared with her late husband. As she moves through the route, familiar places, gestures, and quiet moments bring memories of their life together back to her. 🔗 Project / festival link: https://higgsfield.ai/@hassonpatton/p... I wanted the film to stay grounded and emotional, using the running, her breath, the wedding ring, and the bench as recurring visual elements throughout the story. The memories are presented in black and white, while the present-day moments stay restrained and natural. The film is really about grief, memory, acceptance, and learning how to keep moving forward while still carrying someone with you. Visually, I pulled inspiration from projects like Black Mirror, Oblivion, and Anon, while developing my own visual language for the film. The project was created using a combination of AI filmmaking tools and traditional post-production, including Higgsfield Cinema Studio, Seedance, After Effects, and original AI-generated music created with Suno.
