曼斗佛寺位於中國雲南西雙版納景洪市中心，是一座深深融入城市日常生活的南傳佛教寺院。西雙版納傣族信奉南傳上座部佛教已有悠久歷史，傳統傣族聚落常以佛寺作為信仰、教育、節慶與社群生活的重要中心。 曼斗佛寺最特別之處，在於它並沒有被獨立成一座觀光景區，而是直接存在於繁忙的住宅與商業街區之中。寺院四周就是民宅、商店、小巷與日常車流，居民生活與宗教空間幾乎完全交織在一起。穿過熱鬧街道，金色佛塔與華麗寺院屋頂突然出現在住宅之間，形成非常鮮明的城市景觀。 寺內的金色佛塔、佛像、尖頂與層疊屋簷，帶有濃厚的傣族及東南亞南傳佛教建築特色。它不只是一處歷史文化遺存，更是一座仍在使用、仍有信仰活動的寺院。現代城市的喧鬧與古老佛教傳統在這裡並存，也讓曼斗佛寺成為觀察今日西雙版納傣族文化與城市生活最真實的一個窗口。 Mandou Buddhist Temple is located in the heart of Jinghong, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China. It represents the long tradition of Theravada Buddhism among the Dai people, for whom Buddhist temples have historically served not only as places of worship, but also as important centers of education, festivals, community life and cultural identity. What makes Mandou Temple especially fascinating is the way it exists naturally within the modern city. Rather than being separated as a tourist attraction, the temple is surrounded by residential buildings, local shops, narrow streets and everyday traffic. Daily life and religious tradition are almost completely intertwined. Walking through the busy neighborhood, golden stupas and ornate temple roofs suddenly appear between ordinary homes, creating a striking contrast. With its golden pagodas, Buddha images, elegant spires and layered roofs, the temple reflects the distinctive architectural traditions of Dai and Southeast Asian Theravada Buddhism. Yet Mandou Temple is more than a historic monument—it remains a living place of faith. Here, ancient Buddhist traditions continue alongside modern urban life, making it one of the most authentic cultural scenes in contemporary Xishuangbanna.
