Brock Purdy Is Playing at an ELITE Level

The 49ers are 3-0, and the conversation around this team just changed. In this segment, the hosts dig into why this Niners offense feels like a throwback to the 2023 juggernaut, and why Brock Purdy might be playing the best football of any quarterback in the league right now. The hosts break down the Cardinals game, where the 49ers threw the ball on their first two plays with a lead and under three minutes left. They read that as a sign of total confidence. They also talk about the shift in how this offense runs, with the attack going through Purdy and Kyle Shanahan's passing game instead of leaning on Christian McCaffrey. Then they ask the big question: have expectations changed for this team? Is a wild card still the goal, or should San Francisco be thinking NFC West title and the No. 1 seed? Topics discussed include: Brock Purdy's play through three games and the "driving the bus" conversation Why this 49ers offense feels like 2023 again, even with fewer playmakers The Cardinals game and the fourth-quarter confidence from Shanahan Why the offense is going through the pass more than the run Whether the 49ers can win the NFC West and grab the No. 1 seed What the next two games against Denver and Seattle will tell us How the 49ers' 3-0 stacks up against the NFL's other unbeaten teams The defense being in "survival mode" with injuries Do you agree with this take?
