Arinad Just EXPOSED BHVR AND THE DBD COMMUNITY...

In this video, I react to Arinad's "Wow, Arinad Was Right THE WHOLE TIME!! | Dead by Daylight" and discuss one of the biggest problems with Dead by Daylight's balance discourse: the "both sides" argument and how players who claim to understand both Killer and Survivor can sometimes approach the game from an overwhelmingly Survivor-sided perspective. Arinad's points about how Dead by Daylight is being balanced around players who don't fully understand high-level Killer gameplay, don't want to think about the game's mechanics, or primarily approach the game from a Survivor perspective line up with many of the arguments I've made in my own previous videos. We discuss why these takes can lead to misleading conversations about DBD balance, how they influence the way the community talks about Killer and Survivor mechanics, and whether BHVR's balancing philosophy is increasingly designed around making the game easier and more accessible at the expense of deeper Killer gameplay.
