Building Smart Building Systems From Kosovo to the World | Gentrit Gojani (Full Interview)

In this full episode of Scaling Across Borders (SAB), Greg Moran sits down with Gentrit Gojani, founder of KODE Labs, a software company building operating systems for smart buildings from Prishtina, Kosovo. Kode Labs develops a platform that connects and orchestrates hundreds of building systems from HVAC and energy meters to security and operational data giving global clients a single platform to manage entire portfolios of buildings. Today the company works with real estate funds, Fortune 1000 companies, retailers, governments, healthcare systems, and universities, helping them operate buildings more efficiently at scale. Gentrit shares how Kode Labs started in an unconventional way: by securing its first client before the product was even built, using that contract to fund the company and begin developing the platform. We also talk about: • How a software company from Prishtina built global clients • Why Kosovo’s young talent pool is becoming a major advantage for tech companies • The strategy behind building products directly with customer feedback • How global teams across the U.S., Canada, and Europe support international clients • Why Gentrit believes Kosovo can become a serious hub for global technology companies This conversation explores how companies like Kode Labs are proving that global software can be built from unexpected places and that Kosovo’s tech ecosystem is only getting started. 👍 Like, comment, share, and subscribe.
