Robert M. Price: Why the Bible’s Birth Stories May Not Be History

In this MythVision episode, Dr. Robert M. Price explores striking parallels between ancient Phoenician mythology and biblical narratives, including the stories of Abraham and Isaac and the birth of Jesus. Discussing the account attributed to Sanchuniathon, Price examines the sacrifice of a divine son, ancient traditions surrounding miraculous births, and the possibility that biblical stories share themes with older pagan myths. Are these similarities evidence of direct influence, common cultural traditions, or recurring mythological patterns? Price explains why the parallels challenge simplistic assumptions about the Bible as straightforward history. =============================================== One on one with Dr. Robert M.
