Your Guardian Angel Sees Everything—and Will Stand at Your Judgment (2 October)

Every person has a guardian angel—a lifelong companion who witnesses our choices, assists us in temptation, and works for our salvation. This sermon for the Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels explores the forgotten reality of the angelic world surrounding us. Our guardian angel sees our actions with perfect objectivity and will stand as a witness when we face judgment. Like the angel who appeared to Joshua, he ultimately serves the side of Almighty God: encouraging what is good, opposing what is sinful, and continually directing us toward repentance and eternal life. Drawing upon Dom Prosper Guéranger’s “The Liturgical Year,” this sermon examines the missions traditionally associated with the nine choirs of angels. The Seraphim, Cherubim, and Thrones worship before God’s throne and adore Christ at Mass. The Dominions, Virtues, and Powers preserve order within creation and resist the destructive activity of evil spirits. Principalities, Archangels, and Angels exercise guardianship over nations, communities, families, and individual souls. The supernatural world does not disappear simply because modern society refuses to acknowledge it. When true belief in angels is abandoned, it is often replaced by superstition, occult practices, pagan spirituality, or fictional substitutes. Remember your guardian angel. Speak to him, request his assistance, and thank God for this invisible friend who accompanies you at every moment. Holy Guardian Angels, watch over us and guide us toward Heaven! Please say 3 Hail Marys for the priest. 00:00 Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels 00:31 Our lifelong heavenly companions 00:39 Everyone has a guardian angel 00:46 Your angel as a witness at judgment 01:20 Friends for eternity—or witnesses against sin 01:38 Joshua and the angel of God 02:16 Awareness of the supernatural world 02:24 Earth as a spiritual battleground 02:50 Modern rejection of the supernatural 03:06 Satanism, paganism and spiritual substitutes 03:41 Superheroes as replacements for angels 04:05 Dom Guéranger and the nine choirs 04:39 Seraphim, Cherubim and Thrones 04:51 Angels surrounding the altar at Mass 05:19 Dominions, Virtues and Powers 05:27 Angelic order throughout the universe 06:15 Dominions and the vast reaches of space 06:32 Virtues and the natural world 06:57 Angels directing creation 07:15 “Everything is full of angels” 07:28 Angels behind ancient traditions and stories 08:04 Balaam’s donkey and the angel 08:37 Angelic guidance through animals 09:10 Ember Days and the seasons 09:35 Nature worship versus Catholic truth 10:58 Powers restraining evil spirits 11:54 Conflict between good and fallen angels 12:19 Angels assigned to humanity 12:35 Guardian angels of individuals 12:43 Angels of families and communities 12:50 Principalities guarding nations 13:06 Additional angels for particular missions 13:23 The guardian angel of a family 13:37 Angels working together for salvation 14:01 Friendships among angels and humans 14:36 Developing a relationship with your angel 14:51 Remember the angels at Mass 15:08 God’s invisible gifts and protection 15:46 “Angels are people too” 15:53 Speak to your guardian angel 16:08 Growing aware of the spiritual world 16:35 Final prayer and blessing #GuardianAngels #HolyGuardianAngels #CatholicFaith #CatholicSermon #CatholicTeaching #NineChoirsOfAngels #Angels #SpiritualWarfare #DomProsperGueranger #CatholicChurch #HolyMass #SupernaturalWorld #TraditionalCatholic #SensusFidelium 🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴 ✝️ SUPPORT THE MISSION 🙏 Donate https://sensusfidelium.com/donate-sup... 📬 Free Catholic Newsletter https://sensusfidelium.com/newsletter/ 📰 Read on Substack https://sensusfidelium.substack.com/ ──────────────────── 📺 WATCH & READ 📺 Sensus Fidelium App https://sensusfidelium.tv/ 📚 Sensus Fidelium Press https://sensusfideliumpress.com/ 👕 Official Merchandise https://sensusfidelium.com/merchandise/ ──────────────────── 🤝 PARTNER WITH US 📣 Advertise on Sensus Fidelium https://sensusfidelium.com/advertise-... 🎤 Invite Steve Cunningham to Speak https://sensusfidelium.com/speaking/ ⛪ Parish Formation & Consultation https://sensusfidelium.com/for-parishes/ ──────────────────── 🌎 CATHOLIC COMMUNITY ✝️ Trusted Catholic Businesses https://sensusfidelium.com/catholic-b... 🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴
