Welcome to a new vlog from our life in Ghana 🇬🇭 Living in Ghana isn’t always what you expect.. One moment we’re dealing with the realities of everyday life, building projects and difficult news. The next, we’re surrounded by incredible Ghanaian fashion, food, music and dancing at a celebration I’ll never forget. I thought we were going to a simple garden gathering in Accra.. Instead, my first Ghanaian naming ceremony (and suprise birthday party!) turned out to be something completely different 🔥 But there’s more to this Ghana vlog than the party. Before we get dressed up, we’re taking you back home to share a more personal side of our life in Ghana. Two years ago, we welcomed two tiny rescue puppies into our family. Today, we’re sharing the emotional story of Ziggy and Sage, including some heartbreaking news about Sage, who went missing while we were away in Europe. We still don’t know what happened to him, but we haven’t stopped hoping he’s safe. We’re also checking in on Ivan’s apartment building project, where construction continues, challenges keep coming, and there’s never a shortage of unexpected moments! Then we leave the building dust behind and head to a spectacular Ghanaian celebration. What started as a naming ceremony also included a surprise 40th birthday celebration for the baby’s mother, with FOUR incredible outfits, beautiful decorations, delicious Ghanaian food and a dance floor I somehow found myself in the middle of! From jollof rice and fufu to Tuo Zaafi, glamorous dresses and plenty of laughter, this was a wonderful reminder of the warmth, hospitality and joy we’ve experienced living in Ghana 😍 This video isn’t just about attending a Ghanaian party. It’s about the different sides of life here. The things we’re building, the things we’ve lost along the way, and the unexpected moments that make it all worthwhile. Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be pretty amazing. And there’s a little fufu for thought! 😂 Welcome to another chapter of our life in Ghana. ⸻ 👇 WHAT YOU’LL SEE IN THIS VIDEO • Everyday family life in Accra, Ghana • Our emotional update about our missing dog, Sage • The latest progress on Ivan’s apartment building project • The realities and challenges of building in Ghana • My first traditional Ghanaian naming ceremony • A glamorous surprise 40th birthday celebration • Beautiful Ghanaian fashion, outfits and party decorations • Ghanaian food including jollof rice, fufu and Tuo Zaafi • Dancing, laughter and unforgettable moments ⸻ 💬 JOIN THE CONVERSATION I have a very important question for you!
