Nature friendly farming at Summerdown

At Summerdown, our peppermint fields are a playground for wildlife. We’re proud to be an RSPB Fair to Nature farm, which means at least 10% of our land is left unfarmed so new habitats can flourish and nature has room to thrive. Alongside our Black Mitcham peppermint, we keep beehives in the mint fields, plant special feed crops for birds and sow wildflowers around our field edges and woodlands. We also put soil health first, because the purest peppermint can only grow in carefully nurtured soil. It’s regenerative farming that looks after the land for generations to come.
