What do you do when God is calling you forward, but the next step leads into unfamiliar territory?
Drawing from Israel’s crossing of the Jordan River in Joshua 3, Guest Pastor Dan Smith challenges us to move beyond comfortable familiarity and prepare for what God has next. Yesterday’s miracles remind us of God’s faithfulness—but stepping into a new season requires trust, preparation, and active obedience.
Before leading us into new territory, God works within us. This message explores the importance of consecration—setting ourselves apart for God—and allowing Him to address old mindsets, habits, and baggage we were never meant to carry into the future.
The priests stepped into the Jordan before the waters stopped flowing. Their example challenges us to trust God’s guidance and take the next step of obedience, even when we cannot yet see the way forward.
In this message, you’ll be encouraged to:
Celebrate God’s past faithfulness without becoming stuck in the past.
Trust the Lord rather than lean on your own understanding.
Prepare your heart for the next season through consecration and surrender.
Deepen your spiritual roots through practices that keep you anchored in God.
Move from passive observation to engaged discipleship and service.
Follow God’s presence into what He has prepared.
As New Vision Church looks toward its next season of ministry, the invitation is personal: let God prepare you, release what belongs to the previous season, and step forward with faith and expectation.
Scriptures: Joshua 3; Proverbs 3:5–6
