Tuonelan Virta

Through dark forests and silent marshes, a woman walks until she reaches a black river where no stars are reflected. A white swan glides across the water, singing a name she knows: her own. A pale maiden waits in a boat and asks what she is searching for, for no one returns from here. Then, on the far shore, fires begin to burn, and the voices of all who came before are singing her name. She steps into the boat, and the land she knew falls away behind her.
