5th Annual Coffee Bay Film Festival kicks off on Monday

Young creatives in rural Eastern Cape will get direct access to South Africa's leading film and television professionals at the 5th Annual Coffee Bay Film Festival taking place from Monday 12th October till the 15th of October 2026 in Coffee Bay. The free-entry festival was created to make the film and television industry more accessible to rural communities. Now in its fifth year, the festival provides opportunities for local filmmakers to showcase their work, while learners from surrounding schools are invited to engage with industry professionals through masterclasses and creative engagements with prominent figures whose work they have seen on screen. Joining us is Bongiwe Nomaqumba to tell us more about the free-entry festival. For more news, visit sabcnews.com and #SABCNews on all Social Media platforms.
