UPDATE, Oct. 2, 2026: The Cherokee Sheriff's Office says it found sufficient evidence of a code-of-conduct violation over a fake Facebook account that targeted a person the deputy had arrested in 2025, and that Cpl. Charles Mills has been terminated (statement as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta). The GBI says it is in contact with the sheriff's office but has not opened an investigation. The obstruction charges against Natasha Lopez remain active. This video was finished before the firing, so it describes him as on administrative leave.
"I've had to create fake pages to see her content because she blocked me."
That's Cpl. Charles Mills of the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, under oath on September 18, 2026, about Natasha Lopez, the mother he arrested in her own doorway in Woodstock, Georgia, without a warrant. Within four days he was on administrative leave, and the county's solicitor-general had confirmed he was behind a Facebook page called "Not So Noble" that targeted her.
The hearing runs about five hours. Lopez posted it herself, and almost nobody has watched it. We went through all of it: Mills, Cpl. Stephen Hart and Lt. John Brookshire under oath, the body cameras played in court, her home cameras, and the deputies' own words set against his report.

WHERE IT STANDS
Cpl. Charles Mills was terminated by the Cherokee Sheriff's Office on Oct. 2, 2026. He has not been charged with any crime; the GBI says it has not opened an investigation. Natasha Lopez's two obstruction counts are still pending; the judge has asked both sides for proposed orders. Her son's separate case is pending, and he is presumed innocent. The sheriff's office says the entry was a 22-second protective sweep allowed by law, and its internal review supported the deputy.
