Worst Scout In The Legion | Warhammer 30K Epic Orchestral Fan Song — The Unbroken King

THE WORST SCOUT IN THE LEGION | THE UNBROKEN KING The Worst Scout in the Legion is a humorous, tavern-inspired Warhammer 30K song from The Unbroken King, my alternate-universe Horus Heresy fanfiction. READ THE UNBROKEN KING: https://archiveofourown.org/works/64793437... One Legion. One missing Primarch. One very important reconnaissance mission. What could possibly go wrong? Meet Scout Neophyte Kallis Verin of the XI Legion. His orders were simple: descend upon a mysterious world shrouded in silver mist, remain undetected, gather intelligence, and help locate the Legion's long-lost Primarch. Unfortunately, nobody told Kallis that reconnaissance might involve village festivals, overly enthusiastic locals, an unfortunate case of mistaken identity, and a jousting tournament against one of the greatest knights on the planet. Somewhere along the way, a mission of utmost secrecy became a spectacle witnessed by thousands of cheering spectators. And Sergeant Ocran is going to have an aneurysm. The Worst Scout in the Legion is a lighthearted tribute to Kallis Verin and Scout Squad Aeta, whose rather unconventional approach to reconnaissance would become part of one of the most important moments in the XI Legion's history. Because sometimes destiny doesn't arrive with thunderous declarations, glorious battles or solemn oaths. Sometimes it arrives on horseback, holding a lance entirely the wrong way. And sometimes, the worst scout in the Legion turns out to be exactly the right man for the job. ABOUT THE UNBROKEN KING The Unbroken King is a Warhammer 30K alternate-universe fanfiction by AraelDranoth, exploring a different path through the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy, with the XI Primarch Artorias and his Legion, the Mist Wardens, at the heart of the story. While the Warhammer universe is often defined by its darkness, The Unbroken King also explores the humanity, humour and bonds of brotherhood that survive amidst the horrors of war. At its heart lies a question: In a universe as cruel and unforgiving as Warhammer, where there is only war, can hope still endure?
