The Ocean Aero Triton sails on the surface on wind and sun, then folds its wing flat and dives to 100 meters (328 ft). As a systems engineer, I think it's one of the most interesting drones I've come across while writing Book Six of The Drone Bible, and it earns a full spotlight.
In this video I work through the Triton's two operating states, how it decides to dive on its own, how detectable it is above and below the waterline, what it costs and why the Tomahawk comparison sells it short, and what nobody has published yet. Along the way I quote Ocean Aero CEO Kevin Decker from his interview with The Wall Street Journal.
