Selected Video Clips Onboard R&N's Fall Foliage Diesel Excursion (10/27/2024) (4K 60fps)

After embarking on Reading & Northern's Fall Foliage Steam Excursion during the last October weekend (I did film videos onboard in the dome car but wasn't too pleased with the result. I mainly used the side view, but there was just too much glass reflection. The only ones that came out satisfactory were at station level in Jim Thorpe, which I will include in this video), I returned the next day onboard the excursion to Jim Thorpe, PA featuring the streamlined diesel F-units accompanied by an SD50-2. I opted for the dome car again but this time was able to try a view that I really liked, the forward-looking view (the window was decent enough for me to try it), which I didn't had the opportunity on the steam excursion. The train action at Jim Thorpe, PA was humming with activity. Excursions from cities of Pittston & Pottsville plus our train from Reading were all present in addition to the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway. On the way back to Reading we (all passengers) were treated with a very awesome surprise: meeting the mainline freight train (NRFF - North Reading Fast Freight) traveling all the way to Pittston, PA (and eventually returning to Reading). We also got to see the steam locomotive 2102 on the turntable in Port Clinton, PA after its last run for the year. In the end, I was very glad that I rode this train!
