Four to eleven inches of rain fell on parts of Oklahoma since last night... and another round is coming tonight. ABOUT THIS VIDEO: I walk you through the flooding rain in Oklahoma and West Texas. The National Weather Service in Norman says 4 to 11 inches fell across western and central Oklahoma last night and this morning, and this morning's Norman weather balloon measured 2.23 inches of precipitable water, the highest on record there for October according to the Weather Prediction Center. There's a Moderate Risk (level 3 of 4) of excessive rainfall tonight, flood watches from Tulsa to the Big Bend, and a Slight Risk of severe storms in southwest Oklahoma and northwest Texas. Then I update Tropical Storm Trudy, now 65 mph and forecast by the National Hurricane Center to become a major hurricane by midday Friday near the coast of southwestern Mexico, plus tiny Hurricane Simon, and the strong cold front that brings frost and freeze from the Midwest to the Northeast this weekend. At the end I tell you the one place I'm most worried about tonight.
