Nakhinda : It is rightly said that the greatest joy comes by taking the path less chosen... The Nedha or pinhole is a natural creation in the mountain here and needs to be accessed from Padharwadi village at the base. We took a guide along with us as we were new to this trek. The trek goes through beautiful forest with water streams flowing alongside. Reaching the village takes a little more time due to small roads but the view and experience of this trek is exhilarating. We could even see the droppings of Leopard indicating the wilderness of this place. The Nakhinda ghat is a route followed by people who trek to Kothaligad fort. If you wish to experience the raw wilderness of Sahyadri away from the crowd then this is a sure spot!
