Everyday Wild: Sharing Florida With Gopher Tortoises, Bats & More

Join Kara, Kaia, and Joey as they talk with Katherine Sayler, Southeast representative for Defenders of Wildlife, about Florida’s incredible wildlife and the habitats they call home. Katherine began her career nearly 20 years ago working with gopher tortoises at Camp Blanding and has since studied wildlife disease and worked with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. We’ll discuss gopher tortoise communities, bats in our backyards, wildlife conservation, and how Floridians can safely share space with wild animals as their habitats continue to change. Have questions about Florida wildlife? Drop them in the comments, and we’ll ask Katherine LIVE! 🐢🦇🌿
