The God Who Makes Himself Known | GOD HAS A NAME

What is God really like? We all have a picture of God. But where did that picture come from? Our upbringing? Our experiences? Our culture? Our own preferences? In the first message of our new series, God Has a Name, Pastor Troy takes us to Exodus 34, where Moses asks God to show him His glory. Instead of simply showing Moses what He can do, Yahweh reveals who He is—proclaiming His name and describing His character as compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in faithful love and truth. God is not who we imagine Him to be. He is who He has revealed Himself to be. And the good news is that God has made Himself known. Through Scripture, through His character, and ultimately through Jesus, we can know the God who wants a relationship with us. Jesus is the way to the Father. He is Yahweh—the God who makes Himself known.
