Come Hike The Narrows of Bear Creek Trail With Me With Me - Near Ouray Colorado

What an amazing place! Just outside of Ouray Colorado this is an old mining trail that connects to the alpine loop. I made it out to the Yellowjacket Mine before turning back after a late start. There were some storms coming in just as I got back to the TH. Luckily I made it out to South Mineral Creek, and got camp setup and dinner made before the heavy rain started. I heard about this trail years ago, from old lawyer here in town. Dude was in great shape for late 80s, he was a big hiker when he was younger. I asked him what his favorite hike in Colorado was and he said it was Bear Creek, so I've had this on my list for a couple of years. I'd put it up there near the top value wise. Easily accessible, huge payout on views, it's a fun hike because it's very challenging, and there's a little bit of perceived exposure to keep you on your toes, nothing really dangerous though. I usually do not repeat hikes but I'll definitely be doing this one again.
